Humans are RECEPTIVE by nature. The five sense organs--eyes, ears, nose, skin, tongue--make your ENTIRE BEING alive to what's around you. Using your senses, you navigate the
day and night.

The EAR transforms the world's sounds into nerve
impulses sent to the brain. As a result, most people can perceive a vast array of sounds from very low to very high.
SENSING is usually automatic. You don't think about it. That is, until you encounter a pleasant sensation--the feeling of a cool breeze, the sound of birds, the smell of fresh bread. Or, an unpleasant one.

St. Francis of Assisi |

Lao Tze, Hildegard von Bingen, St. Francis, St. Augustine, Joan of Arc, the Baal Shem Tov, Rumi and many others--experienced visions, sounds, words, insights. Someone or something was communicating with them. They were consciously receptive, which deepened their faith and conviction often against extreme odds. The result: their lives changed the world.
Music to inspire conscious receptivity: "Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound..."
